Every night, more than 300,000 men, women and children in the U.S. stay in homeless shelters. . An additional 200,000 or so spend each night unsheltered, whether on the street or in other locations (subway trains, vehicles, etc.).

Around the world, 258 million, or 17 per cent of the world’s children, adolescents and youth, are out of school. The proportion is much larger in developing countries: 31 per cent in sub-Saharan Africa and 21 per cent in Central Asia…

Further, learning poverty has increased by a third in low- and middle-income countries, with an estimated 70% of 10-year-olds unable to understand a simple written text.

We understand the urgency of providing safe housing, as well as psychological and spiritual assistance, to individuals struggling to survive on the streets.
